About Us

E.R.I.N. is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating teachers and parents about dyslexia and creating a network and support group for practitioners such as Psychologists, Speech and Language Professionals, and Dyslexia Interventionists .  It was founded to honor Erin Bramlett, Nancy Barnard’s mother, who was a dedicated education specialist, tutoring students since the early 1980’s.

Nancy Barnard

Director

Currently Director of Educational Development at Hope Haven, Nancy is an OG Associate through the OG Academy and has been a dyslexia interventionist for 24 years.  She left her Law practice to take over her mother’s tutoring business and service thousands of struggling readers.  In 2022, Nancy established E.R.I.N. with the desire to bring like-minded individuals together to make an impactful change in our community.

Kathy Rawlins

Treasurer

Katherine (Kathy) M. Rawlins, M.Ed. holds a double master’s degree in Learning Disabilities (Varying Exceptionalities) and Behavioral/ Emotional Disorders emphasizing reading disorders and educating the whole child. As a lover of learning, Ms. Rawlins has training in LindamoodBell , Wilson Academy, ISME, Orton Gillingham Academy, Southern Association of Independent Schools Academic Support and many more. She served on the Florida International Dyslexia Association Board of Directors for 10 years with 6 as President and on the Florida LDA Board for 4 years. Her passion is advocating for students and families of neurodiverse learners.

Dannah Fritz

Education

Development
Dannah has been a dyslexia interventionist for 16 years.  When her son was diagnosed with dyslexia, she researched options and began tutoring.  She is Advanced Certified in Barton, Accredited in IEW, and trained in Structured Word Inquiry.  She currently co-owns Jacksonville Tutoring Specialists and oversees 20 tutors servicing over 100 students.

Bridgett Stroud

Membership

Bridgett Stroud is a Learning Specialist at Episcopal School of Jacksonville’s St. Mark’s Campus. With extensive experience supporting students with learning differences, literacy, and executive functioning, Bridgett brings a thoughtful, student-centered approach to education. She is passionate about helping students build confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed. Bridgett is also a recipient of the Nancy N. Wood Excellence in Education Award. Her expertise and commitment to students make her a valuable voice in supporting ERIN’s mission.

Tiffany VillacortaBuer

Communications

Tiffany has worked in IT/web development. She became a reading interventionist 14 years ago and is Advanced Certified in Barton. She uses the explicit writing program I.E.W., and Structured Word Inquiry which adds morphology to instruction and helps make sense of English spelling conventions. She’s always looking for the most expedient way to bring students to grade level and beyond. Her passion is helping those most underserved in the community. She currently co-owns Jacksonville Tutoring Specialists and oversees 20 tutors servicing over 115 students.

Carlisa Mohan

Social Chair

Carlisa Mohan is an Academic Support Specialist at Riverside Presbyterian Day School, where she works with students to strengthen their academic skills and support their individual learning needs. She holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from The University of the West Indies. Carlisa brings an educational background and a caring, student-focused approach to helping children develop confidence and reach their potential. Her experience makes her a valuable advocate for students and families within the RPDS community.
